Once you have chosen a quote that you wish to apply for, simply click ‘apply’ on the results page. You will then be able to complete the online application form with your details.
Application Fee—To process your application for our maximum discounted term assurance we charge a fee of just £29.00 to cover our administration costs. This fee can be paid online at the end of the application process or by post if you prefer¹.
Once the insurance company has received your application, the underwriting department will assess it. At this stage, either terms will be offered or more information will be requested from you or your doctor. The later is standard procedure and will not incur any additional cost to you personally. In a small number of cases a medical screening may be requested by the insurance company, again this will be at the insurer’s expense.
Once the insurance company has enough information to underwrite your policy, they will offer written terms forming the basis of the policy. This will either be:
At this stage you can chose to either accept the terms offered and specify a start date or not.
